At Galanggal we provide the opportunity for our valued guests to enjoy the freshest food produce sourced locally from various farms within the vicinity and nearby Ipoh town. Our ingredients came from local farmers, for example fresh duck meat from Taiping, fresh chicken from Menglembu and of course greens from all over Ipoh. Additionally, we also planted some of our own ingredients via Companion Planting technique. We plant herbs and different type of greens within the same plot so that the plant can support each other for better pollination, pest control (yup! we don’t use pesticide) and to increase crop productivity.
We are proud to be able to serve our guests with the freshest and flavourful foods as well as celebrating and supporting our local food producers from all over Perak.

Our philosophy - from local to local.
Briefly, at Galanggal we tried to create a platform that fully supports our local food industries and talents. Besides sourcing our ingredients from surrounding local growers and farmers, our main furnitures and decors too were built by Ipoh talented young wood crafters.
A cafe is not complete without a group of people that makes the place welcoming. We engaged local talents as our dedicated cafe crews or what we like to call our little Galanggal family. At Galanggal we like to think that our cafe can do more than serving good food. By supporting locals, we in our little ways are helping to distribute prosperity which in a long run help to boost the circle of our local economy.
