How to Assemble Harissa Chicken

 

What we will send in the box

You will receive a box containing pre-cooked ingredients below :

  1. 1/4 a bird of pre-cooked chicken in harissa juice.

  2. Harissa paste

  3. Easy to follow instructions card (English & Bahasa Melayu)

Step by Step Instructions

 

STEP 1. Defrosting Chicken (Microwave)

Do not remove chicken from packaging and always refer to microwave instructions.

Place chicken in microwave proof bowl. Using defrost setting on your microwave for 2 minutes. Check chicken, it should be fully defrosted. Repeat if necessary. 

Always ensure chicken is fully defrosted. 

OR Defrosting Chicken (Water)

Do not remove chicken from packaging. 

 

Place chicken in a bowl, fill it half way with room temperature water. Leave it to defrost in the water until chicken is soft and tender to the touch.

STEP 2. Sear Chicken

When the chicken is fully defrosted, open the packaging, take out the chicken, and keep the juices aside. 

In a skillet/frying pan, heat 1 tablespoon of canola oil. Add chicken skin side down to crisp the skin, do check regularly. Once the skin turned golden brown, your chicken is ready. Remove from pan. 

Transfer to a plate. 

STEP 3. Reduce Sauce

In the same skillet, pour the chicken juice.

On medium heat, slowly reduce the juice to half. Swirl the juice slowly until thicken. Add in harissa paste. Whisk/stir to combine. Turn off the heat and your sauce is ready. 

STEP 4. Food Plating

STEP 1. Defrosting Duck (Microwave)

Do not remove duck from packaging and always refer to microwave instructions.

Place duck in microwave proof bowl. Using defrost setting on your microwave for 2 minutes. Check duck, it should be fully defrosted. Repeat if necessary. 

Always ensure duck is fully defrosted. 

OR Defrosting Duck (Water)

Do not remove duck from packaging.

What you will need

  1. Cooking pan

Step by Step Instructions

 

STEP 1. Defrosting Lamb Shank (Microwave)

Do not remove lamb shank from packaging and always refer to microwave instructions.

Place lamb shank in microwave proof bowl. Using defrost setting on your microwave for 2 minutes. Check lamb shank, it should be fully defrosted. Repeat if necessary. 

Always ensure lamb shank is fully defrosted. 

OR Defrosting Lamb Shank (Water)

Do not remove lamb shank from packaging. 

 

Place lamb shank in a bowl, fill it half way with room temperature water. Leave it to defrost in the water until lamb shank is soft and tender to the touch.

STEP 2. Boil Lamb Shank

When the Lamb Shank is fully defrosted, open the packaging, take out the Lamb Shank. 

In a pot, heat the Arrabbiata sauce to boiled. Add Lamb Shank cooked for about 5 minutes until boiled and the sauce reduce to half, do check regularly.

 

Once the sauce reduce to half. Turn off heat and your lamb shank is ready. 

Transfer to a plate.

STEP 1. Reheat Side Dishes (Microwave)

Remove dishes from packaging. Place dishes in microwave proof bowl. Using medium heat setting on your microwave for 2 minutes. Check dishes, it should be fully reheat. Repeat if necessary. 

Always ensure side dishes is fully defrosted. 

STEP 2. Food Plating
